Pausing for thought on the Nobel prize for Literature

I quite like old Harold Pinter myself, but here's Uncle Johann saying he shouldn't have been allowed near the Nobel Prize for Literature.

And here's Niall Ferguson saying that it is irresponsible to pretend that the US's actions in the past (though far from blameless) are worse than the USSR's atrocities.

Good article from Johann. I actually caught some of Pinter's speech on TV without recognising him or the occasion. Am glad to report I marked him as a complete wanker before I worked out who he was.
