Thomas L. Friedman

Was telling JP and Andy about interesting interview with Friedman in this month's Playboy. Sadly the interview doesn't seem to be available online, but for those who are interested here's Friedman's home page with access to his NYT articles:

D'oh - everything recent has to be paid for.

Well, I suggest just buying a copy of Playboy and reading the interview.

But overall this post isn't much help. Sorry.

Here's one Friedman article I found.

It's about Iraq - good, but I'm sure you'll have read similar pieces elsewhere. Interestingly, he quotes Salama Na'mat, the Washington bureau chief for the London-based Arabic daily Al Hayat. In the Playboy interview I mentioned earlier Na'mat is given space as a kind of counterpoint to Friedman. His main criticism of the US in that piece was not support for the Zionist entity (which I admit was what I was expecting), but rather support for Arab dictators. I'm going to try and an eye out for him as his might be an interesting voice.
